Upcoming And Otherwise

The official launch of ALL MY COLORS is at Printed Matter Bookshop, Hastings, East Sussex, on April 17th. All are invited!

Before that, I'm appearing at the Laugharne Weekend, the best festival in the world:

All My Colors,  my horror novel  for Titan Books, is available to pre-order on Amazon now:

And Barnes & Noble:

Here's some advance review quotes:

  • "Really rich, funny, unsettling and just very alive. A brilliant premise executed with total confidence and authority."
    John Niven, Kill My Friends

  • "All My Colors is weird, wonderful and creepy. It is any writer's most fervent wish and their biggest nightmare wrapped into one. Fast-paced, funny and frightening, it grips the reader and won't let go till you get to its terrifying last pages. A superb novel and an unholy godchild of early Stephen King, Lovecraft and Borges."
  • Stav Sherez, writer of The Intrusions and The Devil’s Playground

  • "Among the funniest, creepiest, truest books about writing I’ve ever read … it’d be a best-seller in The Twilight Zone, and ought to be in whichever Zone we live in too."
Kim Newman, writer of Anno Dracula

  • "It is difficult to believe a book can be so funny and yet so chilling at the same time….a novel that gets increasingly surreal without ever losing its sharp wit. A morality tale, a comedy, a horror story rolled into one, All My Colors has it all."
    The Sun

  • "Astonishingly good. Almost a blend of Murakami-ish otherworldliness, Stephen King small town horror and Douglas Adams-esque absurdity."
  • David M Barnett, Calling Major Tom

Here's a piece in the Hollywood Reporter about All My Colors:

Go West, my second novel for Unbound, the fantastic pledge publishers, is out now. This one's about forgery, fakes, John Peel, dads, the West Country, lies, and - as the title suggests - the saddest anthem of all time:

About Me

My Life

'David Quantick has a medical condition whereby he literally cannot be unfunny' - Caitlin Moran

David Quantick is an author, television writer and radio broadcaster. He wrote the surreal thriller The Mule (“the Da Vinci Code with better grammar” – The Independent) and the comic scifi novel Sparks (“excellent” – Neil Gaiman) as well as the critically-acclaimed TV drama Snodgrass, currently being developed into a feature film, and he’s just written Dickens In Rome, a new play for Northern Stage. His new novel, All My Colors, will be published by Titan Books in 2019.

David has won several broadcast awards, including an Emmy as part of the writing team on Veep.

He was also lucky enough to be involved in this:

My Works

In April 2019, my horror novel All My Colors will be published by Titan Books in the UK and the US.

My comic road trip thriller Go West is now published by Unbound in the UK:

Here are some of the other books I've written.

Sparks is an e-novel, described as "excellent" by Neil Gaiman.

The Mule is a strange comic novel which Jonathan Coe called "an offbeat and surprising comedy thriller".

And there are my two writing handbooks, How To Write Everything and How To Be A Writer. They're very useful.

I've also worked with John Panton at MeatBingo on several short films. This one, starring Rebecca Front as Valentina Tereshkova, is a particular favourite:

My Enablers

I would be nothing without my agent Kate Haldane at PBJ Management.(

All My Colors is handled by Andrew Lownie at the Andrew Lownie Literary Agency. (
